The pipeline from the Marseille-area refineries reaches Geneva depots through SAPPRO, a route into Switzerland independent of the Rhine. On 23 October BWL attributed a diesel gap to pumping delays caused by heavy rain in southern France, which shows the substitute route was itself constrained; its spare capacity is not shown.
