The farmers' federation states that low water means fewer barge rotations, longer waits and higher freight for crops moving down the Danube to Constanța. The statement names wheat, sunflower and rapeseed in August; that maize from the autumn harvest meets the same constraint is an inference, consistent with the widening Constanța FOB–Ruse gap.
